Detective Joe Denali is assigned to investigate the deaths of six homeless men whose bodies are found on the downtown streets of Albuquerque. They all have one thing in common but that one thing doesn’t immediately point to homicide.
In another part of town a local pharmacist is found strangled in his home. Joe’s partner Detective Sandy Rogers is assigned to this case.
Between the two of them as they unravel leads a discovery that the Russian mafia has moved into Albuquerque complicates the cases and puts Sandy’s life in jeopardy.
The personal lives of both detectives make their jobs more difficult as they attempt to solve the crimes before them.
