About the position

Chirp is seeking a partner marketer to join our consumer growth team. This team member will be responsible for sourcing and supporting partnerships with influencers, thought-leaders, and brands with the goal of introducing valuable new users to Chirp. The partnership marketer will work end-to-end with partners, from sourcing and outreach to onboarding and relationship management. They’ll also work with partners to create valuable audiobook-related content.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing, vetting, and onboarding Chirp partners who will authentically and effectively promote Chirp to their audience
  • Managing partner communications, questions, and relationships
  • Brainstorming partner content concepts and supporting partners in creating high quality audiobook content
  • Working with our publisher team to coordinate and negotiate audiobook promotions for feature in partnered content
  • Working with our design and product teams to integrate partner content on our website and promote via email marketing campaigns
  • Managing partnership recaps, data, and reporting on an ongoing basis to ensure we’re tracking towards our partner and activation goals

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in partner marketing, business development, influencer, or affiliate marketing in tech, media, publishing or related fields
  • Experience sourcing and managing partnerships
  • Interest in emerging media trends and the content creation ecosystem
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated financial acumen
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and excitement about interacting with external stakeholders 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and with strong coordination abilities
  • The ability to work autonomously and balance competing priorities effectively 
  • Interest in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
  • Interest in books and reading in their off time, and excitement about the opportunity to grow our audiobook product

Remote work flexibility

Please note: for this role, we are only considering candidates located in Massachusetts. 

Our team has choose-where-you-work flexibility that allows you to choose a predominantly remote, hybrid, or in-office setup at our Cambridge, Massachusetts office. We’ll help each team member figure out the work set up that’s best for them, including WFH equipment or a dedicated desk space in our office. We value the health and safety of our people above all else, and our in-person work options will remain contingent on local safety guidelines and recommendations.

Most of our teams currently operate with a hybrid model, with some people working full- or part-time from the office, and some from home. We value and prioritize collaboration across mediums and spaces, and we invest in ensuring that meetings and other forms of collaboration are set up with equal access regardless of where you work.

Our typical process includes these types of experiences:

  • A resume screen and introductory phone/video chat
  • A take-home exercise where you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your communication and problem-solving skills
  • Additional conversations with your potential future team members, the hiring manager, and People Operations
